THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA—The first franchised location of FITtec.®—a boutique studio-based fitness franchise built around electrical muscle stimulation—has sold its first franchise and is set to open in 2020,  in Thousand Oaks, California.

The California FITtec.® franchise location will be run by a veteran in the fitness industry —an entrepreneur who has over 30 fitness locations of his own already under his belt and has spent over 3 decades building his empire in the fitness industry, both locally and abroad

“The fact that this seasoned businessman (the FITtec.® franchisee) has identified EMS as an investment avenue for his already successful fitness empire after seeing the success of EMS based studios in Europe and identifying the potential of electrical muscle stimulation training here in the USA, is a testament to EMS’s already rock-solid credibility world-wide,” said Shaun Bezuidenhout, CEO and Co-Founder “We are very excited for our first franchised location and certainly anticipate several more—in fact, this first franchisee has secured multiple locations for development after we get the first one up and running.”

The FITtec.® franchise opportunity —which launched in April of 2019 at their HQ in Boulder, CO—is based on a successful, science-backed European fitness technology, and is notably the first premier, FDA-approved EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) fitness national franchise system.

EMS is a revolutionizing fitness methodology that’s taking the World by storm. During EMS training, up to 90 percent of muscles are activated simultaneously, offering muscle contractions that aren’t just higher quality than a traditional workout, but also more intense than can be achieved with a traditional voluntary exertion.

“Compared to weight training, EMS training activates multiple muscle groups simultaneously, allowing you to get a whole-body workout in just 20 minutes.  Because the muscles are stimulated via the impulse and not a voluntary contraction, this leads to better muscle engagement, activation and balance between the muscles in the body, all while increasing core stability and making everything you do more efficient,” said Bezuidenhout.

“We’re excited to help facilitate bringing EMS to every corner of the United States. This first franchise in California is just the beginning of the FITtec.® Fitness Revolution.”

FITtec.® EMS Fitness is the very first EMS fitness franchise in the U.S. featuring wireless Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) semi-private personal training. We are seeking franchise operators that are looking for a sustainable fitness business with a clear differentiator. Qualified candidates should be individuals who desire to transform people, enjoy fitness and live a healthy lifestyle.
